Our Story

As a family-owned company, we are committed to providing quality, accessible multi-family housing with the goal of improving and elevating the economic and social fabric of communities for generations to come.

Since 2009, we have built an experienced team that is dedicated to growing our business and growing our investors’ capital through a diligent acquisition process and a hands-on asset management approach. Our strong relationships across the industry, along with our nimble, flexible and entrepreneurial nature have resulted in the portfolio we have today and continue to build.

  • 2009

    The Beginning

    Founded in East Rutherford, New Jersey, we began making passive LP investments in multifamily real estate throughout the South east and select Colorado markets.

  • 2010-2012

    Establishing a Presence

    During this time, we ramped up our acquisition activity of multifamily assets. We began establishing ourselves as a long-term player, securing agency debt for placement on 2,000+ units.

  • 2013-2014

    Restructuring and Expansion

    We became Co-General Partners on all new acquisitions and achieved scale of 3,000 units. During this time we also opened our first Southeast office in Raleigh, NC.

  • 2015

    Sole Owners

    In 2015, we restructured our company in order to make direct investments as a sole owner-operator. We made our first direct and sole GP investment of a 800+ unit portfolio consisting of three properties in Greensboro/ High Point, NC.

  • 2016

    Portfolio Expansion

    We expanded our focus from low B-class multifamily housing to also include properties with significant value-add potential characterized as never-before-renovated, 9’ product and built in the 90s/2000s.

  • 2017

    New York HQ

    As our company grew, we established our new headquarters in Midtown Manhattan, made several key hires and acquired several properties in target markets such as Atlanta, Raleigh and Charlotte.

  • 2019

    Continued Growth

    Our portfolio now includes over 7,000 units managed by a growing number of team members across our offices in New York City and Raleigh, NC.

    Honing in the scope to our specific areas of expertise allows us to laser-focus our efforts on growth and creating new value.

  • We Seek Value-Add Opportunities

    Whether it be managerial- and/or renovation upside, we seek opportunities where we can add and create more value to properties priced at or below replacement cost.

  • We Seek Out Strategic Locations

    Properties located near central business districts, educational and medical centers or equivalent catalysts in markets with high barriers-to-entry and supply constraints.

  • We Are Different

    Unlike most sponsors, we invest heavily in all our assets alongside our investors. With interests strongly aligned, we are uniquely positioned as a sponsor to manage assets jointly owned with our investors.
